Big Sur

While visiting Adam and Corey in Oakland, Adam and I went down to the beautiful Big Sur. This place has some good magic. What a respite from the city, sun and dry of the desert. We camped at Andrew Molera State Park, hiked around the eucalyptus and redwood forests, meadows, waterfalls and beaches. The Henry Miller library is a lovely little dwelling that holds a lot of qualities I hope to have in a home one day. It hosts lots of good concerts as well. I can imagine these would be great shows among the towering redwood giants. Big Sur is on the list of re-visits now. We took the scenic drive back up highway 1 and stopped in Salinas for Mexican food at an old cafe style restaurant, the pie barn and more beaches before arriving in the city again and checking out the city lights book store and more stomping grounds of the beats.
